The jícara with Huichol art is a handcrafted piece that encapsulates the rich cultural and spiritual tradition of the Huichol community in Mexico. Crafted with dedication and mastery, each jícara is unique and tells a story through the intricate designs and vivid colors.
The Huichol use small colored beads (known as chaquiras) and beeswax to create symbolic patterns that represent sacred elements of their cosmovision, such as the deer, peyote, eagle and corn. These symbols not only decorate the jícara, but also carry deep meanings related to spirituality, nature and the daily life of the community.
